Most professionals don’t set out to be anyone’s hero. They just want to contribute, grow, and enjoy time with family and friends while having good pay and benefits.

Some professionals seemingly want to experience advances in their careers, no matter the sacrifice.

While others recognize the role of work and its’ contribution to their overall lives.

They settle in and experience a level of confidence that is unique to those who know where they’re going and why they’re going there. They also understand that they will experience setbacks and appreciate how change can impact their world.

But most importantly, these confident professionals, attract the attention of others if not for anything more than being able to fully be themselves at work.

They make sure each day matches their truth.

This means being in a position and doing work that is aligned with their values and priorities—work that also taps into their interests. They thrive, they are “in the zone” professionally.

This is a source of their confidence and what endears them to others.

They become heroes.

Heroes inspire us. They solve problems and help motivate us to be true to ourselves.

  • Are you living your truth?
  • Are you in a position that aligns with your values and priorities?
  • Are you also doing work that taps into your interests?

While you don’t need to be anyone’s hero, you should strive to have a role that enables you to live in alignment with your truth.
